Sarah's being demoted!!! In other contexts, this sentence isn't celebrated, yet here in Rotary it's a party to congratulate our club president on a successful year! What does this mean for you? Bring your favorite beverage, wear black and yellow/gold and come ready to celebrate Sarah! When: Tuesday, June 30 from 6-8:30 p.m. Where: Mony Nop's house: 1223 Vienna Street, Livermore Other key details: The theme centers on "Bee" a Rotarian. Wear black and yellow/gold. Water is the only beverage being served, so bring a drink you enjoy, and maybe some to share! Guests are welcome to attend; each person will be charged $20 to pay for catering. We welcome fellow Rotarian, Robert Freeman, who will share the work of the Global Uplift Project, whose mission is to help the world's children learn. In addition to being a member of the Livermore Valley Rotary Club, Robert is the Founder and Executive Director of The Global Uplift Project. For 13 years, he taught at Los Altos High School in Los Altos, CA. Prior to teaching, he spent 19 years in the computer industry, including as Vice President, International Marketing, at Sybase, one of the largest software companies in the world. He is the author of nine books on world history under The Best One-Hour History label. He holds a B.S. from Santa Clara University and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. Lisa Tromovitch

We are happy to welcome Lisa Tromovitch, Executive/Artistic Director and Founder of SPARC Theater. Executive/Artistic Director Tromovitch is also a tenured professor in Media X at University of the Pacific. She has over 50 professional directing credits in six states. She began her career at The Old Globe Theater, where she assisted directors Jack O’Brien, Tom Moore, and the late John Houseman in the rehearsal room and Bob Berlinger in the Play Discovery Program. She is a Backstage West Garland Award and Indy Award winner for her direction of Amadeus at PCPA TheatreFest. Most recently she directed The Winter’s Tale, The Tempest, and her own adaptation of Cyrano de Bergerac for SPARC, as well as Ecce Homo (a new play about performance capture artists) at University of the Pacific. Lisa was awarded a 2010 Innovation Award for “Risktakers and Dreammakers” hosted by the Livermore Chamber. Past President, Shakespeare Theatre Association.
