TODAY'S SPEAKER: ALLEGRA WILLIAMS, TRI-VALLEY CITY SERVE
CityServe serves as the initial contact point for individuals in crisis, helping them connect with essential resources and tools for survival.
The organization collaborates closely with Tri-Valley Haven, Open Heart Kitchen, and various other nonprofits, working alongside clients for sometimes for years to ensure their stability. Over 75% of the participants rely on SNAP benefits, which assist in providing food for their families and clothing for their children. Allegra expressed gratitude to the Rotary Foundation of Livermore and our club for their generous $25,000 donation, which has had an immediate positive impact on CityServe clients. In the past month alone, they supported 962 seniors, a number that has significantly increased recently. This year, they’ve received over 75,000 calls on their care line. There are numerous volunteer opportunities available; please visit their website to sign up for a chance to get involved.
Lori Souza gave us a run down on who's who in this year's football follies. The leader of the pack, is non other than Ed Schumann followed in second place by Eric Dillie with Dave Bedford in a close third place. Thanks to the donations to the sports games we gave out 80 turkeys and 25/$50 gift cards to CAPE families. Thank you for all your hard work and leadership Lori and Bill!
50/50 RAFFLE:
Dick Fields won and gave it back to the club. Thanks Dick!
Happy Birthday President-Elect Mony!
