The group unanimously approved Anil Inamdar as our next President-Elect. Thank you Anil, for being willing to serve our Club in that capacity.
Leslie updated the group on the Gift of Reading project. The three books have been selected and all the libraries have all three of the books. Children will pick their personal selection after returning from the winter break.
TODAY'S PROGRAM: The Rotarian Foundation (TRF)
Our own Jill Duerig presented information about The Rotarian Foundation (TRF), which is Rotary International's 501(c)3, much like our Rotarian Foundation of Livermore is our two Livermore Clubs' 501(c)3.
We learned TRF has several opportunities to receive money and can help local Clubs fund projects as well. She encouraged us all to join in the effort for "Every Rotarian Every Year"--to give $25.00 annually to TRF. It helps us expand our reach and do good work out in the world.
Projects include the ongoing effort to eliminate Polio worldwide, and other projects fall under one of the Seven Areas of Focus.
