New Member Induction and Talk: Dr. Nan Ho
Nan grew up in Oakridge, TN. Her father worked for Oakridge National Laboratory. She attended undergrad at Stanford where she met her future husband. Nan majored in Biology. Later Nan completed a MS in Biological Sciences and more recently a PhD in Organizational Development.
A significant part of Dr. Nan Ho’s connection to Rotary began earlier in her educational career. She was selected as a Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Fellow to Singapore, where she represented Rotary while advancing her education and building international understanding. This experience reflects Rotary’s longstanding commitment to education, cultural exchange, and global fellowship.
Nan has two grown girls. As Vice President of Academic Services at Las Positas College, she has strengthened programs closely connected to the Livermore Valley economy, including science and technology, viticulture and enology, horticulture, and career technical education. She has supported undergraduate research opportunities, student scientific presentations, and partnerships that prepare students to transfer or enter the workforce. Dr. Ho’s return to Rotary through Las Positas College’s corporate membership brings her Rotary journey full circle.
We are thrilled to have Nan as our newest member! Welcome Dr. Ho!

Alameda County Fire Department's, Deputy Fire Chief, Eric Moore
Eric, has lived in Livermore for 40 years and he has the unbelievable luck of being Sarah’s Palmer’s neighbor. He has four kids including twin boys in the 8th grade. He gave an amazing overview of all the services the Alameda Fire provides our community as well as the state of California.
Everyone is invited to join the fun Saturday, September 12, 11 am - 4 pm, at Carnegie Park in Downtown Livermore! We are hosting the Second Annual Community BBQ & Fundraiser to bring our community together and raise funds to support community members in need.

Charles and Patty Crohare invite us to add some sweetness to our holidays without having to toil in the kitchen - while supporting our local community. Each year, we are able to enjoy delicious pies purchased through the fundraiser by the Order of the Eastern Star. This organization supports charitable causes in our community.
Pies are $20 each, and are available on November 10. They will be frozen and ready-to-bake in your own oven whenever you want a fresh, hot pie!
