OCTOBER STUDENT OF THE MONTH
Granada High School Principal Clark Conover introduced Mason Woodward. Mason is a high performing academic with courses in both IB and AP as well as a ROP Marketing class and courses at the college level. He serves as captain of the Water Polo team with a 14-6 record. He also serves as a senior lifeguard.
Mason is described as a high achieving student making Granada a better place for all students with his leadership, arts, academics and athletics. His art teacher says he is creative and uses his talents in unique ways.
Mason was very appreciative of the recognition and plans to attend a university where he will major in business and continue to participate in Water Polo.
Today's Program
Our guest presenter today was Don Swanson a long time resident of Livermore with family heritage in Livermore dating back to the 1870's. He is a member of the LPD specializing in Safety & Scam Awareness. He provided us with enlightening ways to protect ourselves from scams, pick pockets, and con artists.

No meeting on October 28
The first club BBQ fundraiser was a big success. Mony thanked all who contributed in so many ways. To date the proceeds are $15-18k net. If you would still like to donate please use the CHEF's website.
If you want to contribute to the Thanksgiving dinner fundraiser, join the World Series Pool. Spots still available. Contact Lori Souza lorisouza26@gmail.com.
Stay tuned for more details...there will be an opportunity for our club to partner with the Noon club and remodel a room at the downtown historic train station.
We encourage non-profit community organizations and educators whose work aligns with our mission as Rotarians to apply for a grant of up to $1,000. We are grateful to be able to extend our reach into the community by partnering with our grant recipients.
