PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Hello Fellow Rotarians and Friends,

I hope your year has started off with joy and peace. There are Rotary clubs all over the world facing crises in their communities, and they are doing what they can to help. This may seem like a daunting task but remember that Rotary International, Rotarians and volunteers all over the globe have been instrumental in eradicating polio. Yes, that is right, it was and still is Rotarians on the front lines battling to make sure every child, in every country around the world, gets the vaccine.

This is just one example of the impact working together for a common cause can have. I am very proud to be a Rotarian and I know my small efforts in Livermore make a difference. If you aren’t a Rotarian yet, please come check out one of our meetings, community events or social activities. As president this year, I have tried to focus on fellowship, fun and giving. Our club is growing and so is the impact we make.

Valentine’s Day is always a joy for children as well as adults. Remember giving each kid in your class a little Valentine card and maybe some candy?  Making others feel loved is the reason for Valentine’s Day. Let’s make it a priority for all of February and the rest of the year.

Yours in Rotary,

Sherri Simoni

Extending her quest for knowledge beyond the classroom, Carly uses her summer breaks to pursue specialized learning opportunities. Carly has also enriched her summers and fueled her passion for dance by participating in programs including the Netherlands Dans Theatre Summer Program and the Juilliard Summer Dance Intensive.

A student leader in extracurricular activities, Carly is co-founder and board member of Rising Ocean Initiatives, in which she played a pivotal role in addressing the impact of rising ocean levels in Yap, Micronesia.
