A Night To Shine-Pleasanton
Feb. 13, 2026 5:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Volunteer with Rotary: Be Part of Night to Shine Tri-Valley 🌟

Rotary members are invited to take part in an unforgettable evening of service, joy, and connection at Night to Shine Tri-Valley—a one-of-a-kind celebration centered on love, inclusion, and community.

Night to Shine is a magical prom-style event designed especially for individuals ages 14 and older with special needs. Guests enjoy a full evening of dancing, delicious food, karaoke, crafts, and relaxed spaces for quieter moments. Every guest is honored, celebrated, and paired with a caring volunteer buddy who helps make the night truly special.

This is a powerful opportunity for Rotarians to live the values of service above self, create meaningful one-on-one connections, and be part of an event that leaves a lasting impact on both volunteers and guests alike.

Volunteer as a Buddy (Most Popular Role)

As a buddy, you’ll spend the evening alongside one guest, experiencing the event together—whether that means dancing all night, singing karaoke, enjoying dinner, or relaxing in a quiet room. Guests range in age from 14 to 80, and we thoughtfully match buddies with age-appropriate guests based on comfort level and guest needs.

Because guests have varying levels of ability and support needs, all buddies will participate in a mandatory training to ensure the evening is safe, welcoming, and joyful for everyone.

Other Ways to Serve

Not able to be a buddy? There are several other ways to help:

  • Event-night support roles

  • Help in the days leading up to the event

  • Cleanup the following day

These roles are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is encouraged.

 Event Details (Important Information)

  • Date: Friday, February 13,  5:30 PM – 9:30 PM

  • Location: Blue Oaks Church, Pleasanton, CA

  • Volunteer Roles:

    • Buddy (mandatory training required)

    • Event support (before, during, or after the event)

Register here to be a buddy

Registration ends January 26 at 5 p.m. PST
